#3 POINT HITCH DRAFT CONTROL MASSEY FERGUSON 265 MANUAL#
If you can find a service manual for it, that would help you a bunch. Posted 13:44 (#2118528 - in reply to #2118354) Subject: Re: Massey 265ĭo you have the draft lever all the way back? Does the MultiPower work? If it has independent PTO, does that work? If it has the factory remote, there is a pump that feeds that and a different pump for the three point.
Is the oil level between the marks? Did you try moving the lower rate lever at the oil level dip stick? If it has dual scv's they have their own pump with a external filter on the left side. Both levers have to be fully up to get full lift out of the 3 point hitch.

The lever with the round end is mainly for raising or lowering the 3 point hitch, the rectangle one is for setting a draft control level as well as raising and lowering the 3 point hitch. I am fairly handy but have never split a tractor I guess am just really curious if there is some "tricks" I should be aware of as I think I am going to attempt this after the first of the year. My question is is this repair something I shojuld attempt myself or should I take it to a professional mechanic to repair. Anyway this unit has sat out for years and looks really rough but as I said it fired right up when I put a battery in it ( think it had been run a couple years ago with a two string baler behind it ) but the three point does not lift and I dont think the remote valve works either. I have come upon a mid seventies (I think ) massey 265 that starts and runs excellent hour meter shows 2878 hours and appears to be working. Massey 265 Jump to page : 1 Now viewing page 1
